Romania is not only about unexpectedly poor people and delicious cheese. It is about one of the hottest castles ever – Dracula castle or Bran castle. This masterpiece of architecture is situated near Bran and was named a national monument and landmark in Romania.
The castle became popular when it was mentioned as the home of the titular character in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Nowadays, the castle is a museum and everybody concerned is welcomed to visit it.

Originally, the castle was built as a fortress in 1212. In no way this castle should be mistaken for the actual Castle Dracula (now in ruins), it can be found on the Arges River.
